The 2026 Winter Olympics have been a resounding success for many Americans and now the Team USA flag bearers have been named for the Closing Ceremony.
The Americans have revealed the two members of their large contingent that will carry the tremendous honor for the Closing Ceremony, including one women’s hockey star that helped deliver a gold medal.
Hockey star Hilary Knight and skater Evan Bates have been named the Team USA flag bearers for the Closing Ceremony with the two athletes combining for eight Olympic medals during their legendary careers.

Knight is competing in her fifth Winter Olympics and is Team USA’s all-time leading goal scorer. She first debuted for America at the 2010 Games in Vancouver at the age of 20.
Since first joining the American team, Knight has either won gold or silver medals with Team USA at all five Olympics she’s taken part in.
Meanwhile, Bates has been equally impressive on the ice during his skating career. Bates has three Olympic medals, two golds and a silver as a member of the American ice dancing team.

The Michigan native first debuted for America at the Sochi Olympics in 2014 and has taken part in several more since his first event. Bates is also a three-time world champion and seven-time U.S. Championships winner.
