Team Canada is ready to pursue the Olympic men's hockey gold medal.
They'll get underway in the week ahead, but on Sunday, they made a key announcement: They've got a captain and a pair of alternates.
The captain, as expected, is Sidney Crosby.
Crosby is the legendary Pittsburgh Penguins superstar and the oldest player on the Canadian roster. He has an Olympics-winning goal in his past.

One of the alternate captains is Connor McDavid, the Edmonton Oilers great who is widely considered the best hockey player in the world right now.
The other alternate: Cale Makar. He's a defenseman for the Colorado Avalanche and as good as anyone in his position.
Team Canada's Olympic hockey schedule
The Canadians will begin their tournament with three group stage games.
The first is on Thursday, Feb. 12. It will begin at 10:40 a.m. ET against Czechia.
The next group game is on Friday, Feb. 13. It'll be at 3:10 p.m. ET against Switzerland.
The final group game is Sunday, Feb. 15. That's at 10:40 a.m. ET against France.
From there, Canada will be expected to advance to the gold medal game and try to win it, with the United States on paper the biggest opposition.
