The NBA has fined Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves $25,000 after he threw a ball into the stands during the team's 124-121 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night.

The incident happened at the end of the first half with Minnesota leading Portland 62-59. Edwards rebounded the final shot of the half, then cocked back and tossed the ball down the court well after the buzzer went off.

Edwards played 38:20 and scored 34 points during the victory. The 24-year-old is averaging 29.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.4 steals in 49 games this season for the 36-23 Timberwolves.
