Football practice can be a grueling ordeal, but it can also be a place where you make memories that last a lifetime.

Hundreds of youth football players and their parents made their way to a football camp at Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg for a chance to meet Philadelphia Eagles player Cooper DeJean.

"They get to see their superhero in person and play football with them. I think it's the coolest thing ever.” says Jack Bishop, the director of operation with FlexWork Sports, who hosted the youth camp.

The All-Pro defensive back and Super Bowl LIX Champion took pictures with the players and their families, while also playing some backyard football with the kids and even taking a few of them on in 1 on 1s.

"It was really fun. I caught two or three touchdowns from him. It was really fun,” said camp participant Percy Whitaker III.

Having fun was the goal of the day for everyone involved, from the campers to Dejean and the coaches helping the young player hone their game.

“Our goal is to just bring these athletes out — get them involved in the community, having fun with the kids, getting out here, having a good day out under the sun, get everybody active. So just having fun really is our goal,” explained Bishop.

For many of the players, meeting Dejean was a dream come true.

“I got both high fives with my hands, so I'm never washing it again.” said JT Melnichak.

Camp participant Jaxon Sandoval exclaimed with a smile that it was the "Best time of my life.”
