I would much rather have Joel Pryzbilla, Greg Stiemsma, Ryan Hollins or hell even Brian Scalabrine over Lopez!

In a van...down by the river.
I dont get it. Lopez played really well during that stretch of games in December/January/February 2 years ago before he got injured...he was a totally different guy. WTF happened?

During that 33 game stretch he avg'd almost 12ppg 6 rebounds and 1.3 blks
Including that monster 30 point 12 rebound game against the Clippers.

Maybe we need to trade him to Houston and then get him back next year?

have you seen the guys' facebook profile? RL is the personification of cheese; throw in his juvenile mentality and you realise he'd have no idea how stupid and embarrassing it is.

There is nothing impressive about 6 rebounds from a 7 foot center. Also you bring up the 30 point game but to be fair you should bring up all the goose eggs he had during that same stretch.

Agreed. The guy doing the voice over is awful. It sounds like someone trying to imitate a deep voiced VO artist.

I guess they're just trying to appeal to Robins love of comic books or whatever, but Im sure even he's thinking "this is a bit silly for a back up Center"
The voice-over is Mark West, who knows something about getting fans' hopes up, then producing mediocrity at the Center position and keeping us from reaching the next level.

I thought it was Ceballos.

I guess BOTH Lope brothers like them comic books.

Lopez, Nets still happy to be together

Posted Jul 18 2012 5:11PM

NEW YORK (AP) -- While the NBA was transfixed by the Brooklyn Nets' public dalliance with Dwight Howard, there was one person who was unconcerned.

Brook Lopez, the centerpiece in trade packages for the Orlando Magic's All-Star center, never wavered. He wanted to be in Brooklyn, and he was willing to wait for his time to sign a deal and rejoin his teammates.

Last week, it finally came.

"It didn't bother me too much because I don't pay attention to media speculation," Lopez said Wednesday. "I read books and comic books. (They) didn't mention Howard too much."

Have we heard about Lopez visiting anyone yet? Even as a Lopez detractor I am stunned by his apparent total lack of suitors.

If nobody gives him an offer, does that mean we will get him on the 1 year tender?

Right now, we are deep in bigs. We have at least 1 too many (Gortat, Frye, Morris, Scola, Beasley - depends on if he plays SF or PF, and possibly Lopez - once signed).

I'd love to find a way to set up a couple of deals that go down about all at once.

Send Lopez S&T (and maybe add in a 2nd rd pick or 2 as well) to GS for S&T of Rush. That would give us our starting SG.

Send Frye to Orlando for J-Rich (RealGM Rumor - actually MrOrng rumor)

Sign Chris Anderson as our backup center behind Gortat

Honestly, I don't think Anderson makes it out of Amnesty Waivers (like Chilly did). Someone will end up getting him. I think he'd be quite a bit better here behind Gortat than Lopez. Only time will tell what moves we still have left.

Offensively, Andersen, Lopez and Amundson are a wash. Defensively (shot blocking and rebounding) Andersen is by far the better player.

Andersen is old, or injured, or drugged out, or something, but he's nowhere near the player he was a couple of years ago. He fell out of the Nuggets' rotation because he simply wasn't good enough.

Isn't he under investigation, or being questioned, in some child pornography case? I'd give Lopez a max contract before I let that guy play for free if he is guilty of any such thing (which he very well may not be).

I'm afraid of his tattoos.

Kenneth Faried does everything he did but so much better.

Right, I'd forgotten about that. I think the story was that the stuff in question was his roommate's, and Andersen didn't know about it because he isn't around much, or something like that. But I didn't hear what the resolution was.

Heard the same thing, but the roommate part was barely reported, while the previous "CHRIS ANDERSON: CHILD PORN KINGPIN" headline was all over the place.

Dont want Birdman on the team, but its really sickening the way the media will jump all over a story with only some sketchy details and ruin a dudes name, then when a guy is later cleared they make no mention.

If Birdman joined our team for 18 mil, and his name rhymed with something as fun as "Sleazley" then I'd give him a solid monicker too.

If Beasley actually plays well on the Suns and sticks, would you switch favorite teams?

Just wondering ;)
