And it’s not the same pick and roll over and over. It comes from different angles with different passing lanes created. I give monty so much more credit after having read that article. It’s a crazy difficult offense to counter. Laker could, to an extent, because they had excellent individual defenders and a couple crazy athletes with Lebron and Davis.

I'm not sure about the design of the Denver defense but he has been asked to help trap almost to mid-court and yet defend the basket. He is not overly athletic so I don't know how he can do it all.

Personally I think The Nuggets have asked him to do too much. He is usually exhausted in the second half. Maybe some of this is on the coach.
I’m surprised they didn’t abandon the high trap considering it was ineffective anyway and pulled jokic so far out.

Monty in a meeting today focused on rebounding and transition defense.

It would be like the Lakers asking Drummond and Gasol to trap at half court.

Kenny Smith with a lot of hesitation about giving the Suns full credit. Saying something to the effect they should be winning with the opponents key players out.

I think the Suns could win the championship and he would feel the same.

I don't think there's any doubt that the series would be more competitive if Murray were playing but it's taking away from how impressive the Suns have been to say that Denver is depleted or a bad team without him. Since we was injured on April 12th, the Nuggets went 13-5 and moved from the 4th seed to the 3rd seed with him out of the lineup. To hear the narrative you would think that he was hurt right before the series started. Suns are dominating a team that had regular season success and won a first round playoff series.

Winning six playoff games in a row against good teams both at home and on the road is making a statement. The Suns need to wrap this up tonight.
