Okogie makes more sense when they play KD at the 5, as it's one more shooter they have to account for on the outside. With Nurk or Drewbanks and Okogie together, the spacing is a lot tougher.

Okogie can frustrate any top perimeter player from Doncic, Fox to Haliburton. It's just the game plan around switching that may make it less effective. With KD at C, we can rotate and switch and recover fast, that makes it less likely for Mavs to use screens for Doncic. Also, he came into the game again because Hardaway was also killing us with 3s, he was tabbed with the task to shut down H while Doncic rested. He did perfectly with that 3pt alteration. It's really just a game plan/setup issue to make Okogie effective.

I hope Luka is ok and plays in the 2nd. It's clear Phoenix needs more reps defensively, they're still missing rotations and leaving shooters and cutters wide open.
