Man… I hope the meaningless Cup game of it all doesn’t factor into it.
Don't players from the cup championship get 500k or something? That's not meaningless to them I'm sure.

if we make it to the next playoff/tournament phase players start getting paid - we don't have to beat okc we just can't get slaughtered - we should be okDon't players from the cup championship get 500k or something? That's not meaningless to them I'm sure.
At least he’s trying to explain it. I remember Monty inexplicably not calling anything and then being tight lipped about everything.Jordan Ott talks about Jamaree Bouyea, Mark Williams and their philosophy.

Yeah… I can respect that answer, especially with a new group. Usually I’m the “Call a timeout!!” guy the second the other team gets two straight buckets, but this is such a new mix of guys, staff and overall philosophy that I’m more willing than usual to give coach benefit of the doubt, especially with how the season’s started. He’s earned that so far.At least he’s trying to explain it. I remember Monty inexplicably not calling anything and then being tight lipped about everything.

I think the above can especially be true when playing against inferior opponents, like last night.I like Ott takes the time to explain it. He has been good at calling timeouts at the right time this season. It's a good learning experience for the team.
It's not a bad idea for the Suns to learn to play through slumps or opposing team runs because there will always be times when timeouts are not available or need to be saved. Also, players need to figure it out for themselves.
