If I’m Ott, I look at Friday as a scheduled loss. We got no shot against OKC and if we try to go all out and then have to play Denver the next night with or without Williams, that’s likely a definite L too. Best chance for a split is to sit Williams against OKC and have him fresh for Denver the next night at home.
if i know ott - williams starts friday against okc

good thing we came out like that in the first quarter- struggled the rest of the way but a win is a win

what we need is dunn and grayson against okc
No. We need to put ourselves in best position to get a split against the best two teams in the league. That means taking a scheduled L against OKC, sitting Williams there, and having Williams healthy for the game the next night against Denver and give those other guys another day of healing if necessary.

ott doesn't roll like that - there's no scheduled Ls with this new identity

Every time they sit Williams it’s with an eye on the future and which games they think they can best win. If you think that doesn’t enter in the calculation, someone slipped salvia into your greens.

It may not be an out and out scheduled L, but if I am going to have Williams in only 1 of 2 games in a back to back against OKC and Denver, which do you think he should play?

I guarantee you Williams is playing Friday. Hopefully Grayson too. Has nothing to do with Ott's intelligence. Suns try to win 'em all.

lol salvia? I smoke and eat weed bro you know this - and im not arguing your point im saying ott's gonna start williams against okc

i think he's played williams in the first game of the 2(?) back to backs this season - and i can guarantee you ott thinks we can beat okc

That he has.

Also gives him the chance not to bang around with Jokic, which actually seems more taxing than playing against okc. Then this gives him 2 days between the next game on Monday.

If that was true, Williams would play every game.

I guess we’ll see Friday.

I think he is too unless there's soreness or something like that. Normally I'd say he'd play Williams in whichever of the back to backs we'd have the best chance with which would be Denver. But given that the OKC game is Cup, they'll likely use him then IMO.

Brilliant 1st quarter tonight. We win this by 40 if Book, Brooks and Royce don't have off shooting nights. Kings had ZERO answer for Williams size and athleticism.

Man… I hope the meaningless Cup game of it all doesn’t factor into it.

I love our team, and I love the way we play. But let's be realistic -- we got no chance against OKC right now. None. Why take an unnecessary risk?

I admit, I don’t know Ott well enough to make any definitive statement and could very well be wrong. Just saying how I would game out Williams’ availability with the schedule coming up.

My guess is Jordan Ott sticks to his schedule concerning Mark Williams and doesn't push any players back early.

He has been especially cautious with his players after Jalen Green was re-injured.

The Suns have a three day break between the Lakers game on Monday December 1st and the Rockets game on Friday December 5th.

This would be an opportune time for an injured player to return not named Jalen Green.

Ha. Watch Ott sit him for both games just to make us all wrong.
