How about Isaiah Thomas?I can only guess one point guard where McDonough might have a problem and that would be Dragic.
If Bledsoe came back this board would go into hysteria. LMAO
I kid, I kid...

I hear Mike James is appreciative of the moves the Suns have made recentlyOkay. Now the list is three. Why not add Knight for four. LOL

We definitely can, I've already thought of 3 other ones.Wow. You have upped the list to five.![]()
I'm afraid we can keep this list going if we try hard enough.
Dragic knows Igors system better than anybody other than maybe Doncic. I see goran as a pure PG. The only reason he isnt with the Suns to this day is because MCD created a cluster F at PG and Dragic was moved out of his natural position. But everyone knows the history of what happened. Goran would be the best PG the Suns could bring in to run Igors system which could possibly speed up the playoff timeline?
And now Ulis pops into my mind for six. See... it can keep going.
I hear Kendall Marshall, Tyler Ennis and Ronnie Price are available...
Why would you pay a GM to do a full year of scouting and prep for the draft and then fire him one month before it? It would make sense to switch much earlier in the year than after the season ends.
Like I said. I would rather keep McD. I do not have confidence in Sarver's abilty to pick a GM. But I have no problem with the timing of this.
It's not exactly the opposite of what you're saying. If you believe in the GM enough to let him handle the draft and coaching search, firing him now could be seen as "early".
Not early as in "too early." It takes a full year to prepare for the draft and free agency. If you want a new GM, you want him on board now, not in May. He can watch a full year of college ball, travel overseas, evaluate potential free agents and then go into the summer ready for bear. You cannot do that with only a few weeks of prep.
That is all I am saying. Not so much to you Steve, but to Cheese.
The fans also don't have access to the in depth plans that the front office had going into the off season. Some of the fans that were on board with firing McD earlier may have been willing to give him a shot if they had heard his plans for the off season.
I don't know how much you have to trust your GM to draft Ayton number one. Especially for a franchise that continually was haunted by not getting their franchise center.
Doncic is listed as their power forward.Dallas has a two point guard lineup like McDonough always envisioned in Smith and Doncic. I do think he was right about this but the Suns never had the right combination.
Thank you! I knew you would come around eventually!just tell me this... forget it. you're right and almost everyone else in the world who follows basketball is wrong. The move makes total sense.

Doncic is listed as their power forward.
Well obviously it didn't go how he planned it out. Hence him being fired...if those same fans heard his plans for this off-season included spending all of our cap on an aging role playing SF, trading two first round picks (one of them unprotected) on another 3-D small forward and making zero attempts to get a real PG, they would have told you what they told you at the end of last season...
WHY ARE YOU LETTING MCD MAKE DECISIONS IN A HUGE OFF-SEASON FOR US?!
