Koa was good. Will he get time with the bench mob? Meaning Oso, Collin, Fleming, Maluach, Dunn, and I guess Kennard, will he jump one or more of these cats?
By midseason Koa will be the 1st forward off the bench ahead of Dunn, Highsmith, Fleming and Kennard.

Highsmith seemed serviceable as a 3 and D player last year. I liked what I saw of him. He is better than Brea at least.

The main issue with this is the lack of 3 point shooting. A smaller lineup with him and Flemming/Bridges as the bigs could work or playing with ManMan who can space out to the three. However, he likely will not be able to pair with guys like Oso and Williams until he can be somewhat of a threat from three.

Moving ahead of Fleming would be a bad sign for Fleming. If Koa moves ahead of those guys decisively, we'll be in great shape. He's on a rookie contract and it would free other guys for trades, cap relief. Dunn will be the odd man out.

More competition is only good. I got a good first impression of Koa Peat. Looking forward to the next game!
I did too. And it wasn’t just the scoring. It was his presence on the floor. He plays with a combination of aggression and confidence that is interesting. It’s just a little touch of what Amare had.

I wouldn't be concerned about it though. Fleming is more a raw and an unfinished product. He is a player worth developing.

When your in cap hell Dunn is the one you keep. Suns will resign Dillon but he could get them a PF. Next summer should be interesting, Suns have options.

Nah, with the depth on the Suns roster, I can't see Peat starting.

I don't see Koa beating out Miles for the 4 spot for a year or two but if something falls through with Bridges, I don't see any other power forward on our roster that I'd start over Koa. Too bad they can't be on the court at the same time but, outside shooting notwithstanding, their games are probably too similar to share much court time.
