my head is absolutely swimming this morning - in a matter of back to back games we went from from no interior defense to 5 blocks by maluach - that back to back was a blessing in disguise - the horrible loss to chicago being exactly what we needed

what exactly does blocking zion williamson at the rim do for one's confidence? idk but we saw what it did for the team's confidence - everybody picked it up on defense

i promised myself I'd keep this short but im still processing - this truly could change everything

imagine running williams and maluach as bigs in the playoffs with ott being able to sprinkle in some oso whenever he wants and/or fleming - for once we can be as big as we are fast and less vulnerable on the glass

did anybody else see queen pouting on the pelican bench as our 7'2" manman was manhandling the paint? queen is good but he's still 6'9" - if we had the choice to do it all again i think phoenix would still draft maluach over queen with the #10

maluach still has a long way to go - doesn't even know when to run down court but he's fast and learning even faster - his screens need a ton of work - part of why ott kept him out of the game at the end last night - we were over the foul limit - one illegal screen could've changed the outcome

I think his upside defensively is some facsimile of Embiid. Not the fleetest of foot, but big, tall, long, surrounded by defenders that funnel players to him.
