Collin Gillespie looks like a natural all around athlete. The same with Ryan Dunn.

I was going to mention his Twitter. I figured you'd have come across him at some point. It's a good podcast that has a good balance of homerism and analytics.

At one time, I had Mike Vigil bookmarked on my laptop browser. I will have to pay him another visit.

We desperately need anyone besides Booker to facilitate, him proving to be an NBA level player would be huge.

On paper, as it stands our offense without Booker on the court, looks like a horror show.

Ryan Dunn's brother plays pro baseball in the majors. Ryan went with basketball, but I imagine he's pretty good at baseball, too.

I hope Jordan Ott gives Collin Gillespie a legitimate chance to run the team. IMO, he is capable, but we will never know for sure until he is given the opportunity. This will be an early test for Ott.

I imagine Booker and Green will be the starting guards. I can see it possibly staying this way until the trade deadline to see how it works.

Stephen is outstanding, but his voice is very low while Eric is very loud. It makes it really difficult to listen. I don't understand why they don't optimize their microphones so they end up at the same volume.
I used to work in a video production unit, and I find a LOT of podcasts with multiple people get this one thing wrong. Rich Roll's podcast is one of the few that I never have that problem. Rich Roll has a studio and they have guests go there and you can tell the production level is very good. Some I listen to the guys remote stream, and it seems like a hot mess.

Man that's a hot mess of guys. I know it's August, but all these articles for different teams by people just making up trades is brutal. I want news. Something that's actually happening as opposed to making stuff up. I'd rather have nothing, than some guy monkeying with a trade app and making up stuff.

It was obvious a lot of the Suns woes last season were inside, both offensively and defensively.

Makes one wonder what would have happened last season if they had fixed it, not that I have regrets about moving on.

If they could correct it, by all means. This makes listening to the show less enjoyable.

I love that coach Ott has game-plan map for each of his players and that he wants Fleming to concentrate on defense in year one.

Glad to hear this. Fleming already has offensive skills. They can come along at a slower pace.

This is the biggest area where we improved, center/interior threat on both ends of the court. This improvement should give us better defense and offense, Nurk and Plum just were not it last season. There was just lob threat, someone who could gobble a rebound and put it back up or stuff it home. Then on defense they were so bad on the perimeter.

I think one of the reasons the Suns had a poor perimeter defense is they were trying to compensate for their terrible interior defense. It resulted in accomplishing neither task.

My only concern with Green/Book is foul trouble. The two main guys who are there to score and facilitate.

Green doesn't have a history of getting in foul trouble, and Booker to a lesser extent.

I'm pleased with the Suns depth in the backcourt, but how Booker and Green play together, and as a team, is a larger concern for me.

Point guard could prove to be a problem if things don't work. I'd still like to add a veteran power forward at some point in time.

Duane Rankin talks about Jordan Ott hiring Sean Dwyer as an assistant. They formerly worked together at Michigan State.

When I bought the Suns originally, I thought we were on third base,” Ishbia said. “Now, I’ve set a vision. I’ve said, ‘Hey, I know what kind of guys I want, we ain’t trading for guys who aren’t like this.’

lol we were on third base - maybe second

How I wish Mat Ishbia had waded in the shallow end of the pool when he bought the team.

However, comparing the Suns to the Mercury scares me. They are in different leagues. The NBA is much more complex.
