I think helps, even if it's coach speak, since it now resets the narrative to a degree. Everyone knows Nurkic is on the trade block. The narrative got really negative when Nurkic said he has no relationship with Bud and they haven't spoken in months. Now if Nurkic speaks out of class again, there's zero doubt he's a disruptive force.

Everything I've heard is Nurkic has a negative value and the Suns would have to attach asset(s) to move him. Now, if the Suns took on a worse contract or a similar problem, that might change things.

Oh, IDK. Some trade deadlines go by without anything happening. I feel after last night, the whole market might be wild this year. Ironically, KD even brought up the notion of teams blowing it up after what the Mavs did.
