I think if the Suns traded Nurkic, they would need a power forward and a center coming back. It could be in one transaction or separate transactions, all while complying with the rules of a second apron team.

IMO, Allen might be easier to trade because he could be sent to a third team for assets.

I think the Suns might have to add pick(s) to trade Nurkic. Also, I'd like to add more size to the current roster, unless the Suns trade for a young center that can fill his role.

I'm not sure why the Bulls would trade Patrick Williams. The same question has to be asked of every potential trade partner and why would they do it.

FWIW, Kaminsky or Biyombo could likely be added as a veteran free agent without a trade, but they are more for depth than a rotation player.

PF/C’s that make less than Nurkic:

Patrick Williams
Robert Williams
Isaiah Stewart
Chris Boucher
Nick Richard’s
Jonas Valanciunas
Zach Collins
Walker Kessler
Larry Nance Jr

Patrick Williams makes $18m a year with 3 seasons beyond this guaranteed and 1 more player option. All flat in salary, $18m per with the Bulls.

Robert Williams makes $12.43 million this year and $13.29 guaranteed next season with the Blazers.

Isaiah Stewart makes $15m a year this year and for the next 2 seasons. There's a team option for a 4th year at $15m also with the Pistons.

Chris Boucher makes $10.8 million this year and has no further guarantees with the Raptors.

Nick Richards is making $5 million this year as well as next for the Hornets.

Jonas Valenciunas is making $9.9 million this year, $10.4 next year, and $10 million in the final year with the Wizards.

Zach Collins is making $16.74 million this year and $18.1 next season for the Spurs.

Walker Kessler is in year 3 of a rookie deal, paying him $2.97 million this and $4.88 next season before he is eligible for restricted free agency in Utah. He won't be dealt before then unless it involves a star.

Larry Nance Jr is making $11.2 million in his last year for the Hawks.

Figured I'd add salary info. Pulled from BBReference.

Suns salary info below, players names in italics for contrast to the bold above...

*Jusuf Nurkic is making $18,125,000 million this year. He's on the books for next season also at $19.38m.

*Grayson Allen is due $15,625,000 this season. He has the next 2 years guaranteed for a total of $35 million, $16.875m next season and $18.125m the following. There's a player option for another season paying him $19,375,000 in 2027-28.

*Royce O'Neale is making $9,375,000 this season. He's on the hook for 3 seasons beyond this one which pay him a little over $10m a year. He signed a 4 year/$42m extension this past off-season. All guaranteed with no options.

*Josh Okogie is signed for $8,250,00 this season. He is also signed for $7,750,000 next season but that salary is not guaranteed.

Those 4 guys are most likely to be traded. I'd say Okogie is #1 given he's basically an expiring deal and we need him least given the backups we have available at the Sams position.

I’d like to get Isaiah Stewart but I don’t know much about his role with the Pistons. Jalen Duran is the starter and he’s younger but I like Stewart’s physicality and his advanced stats are better than his boxscore stats. I’m sure he’d had a better market if available than what we have to offer.

The Blazers, Jazz and Wizards don’t care about wins this year so they’ll be the sellers.

I agree on Blazers and Wizards. Disagree on the Jazz simply because Kessler holds a ton of value and they're still a year away from needing to talk extension which Kessler. He's 23 now and could probably fetch a pair of 1sts at the least or even a late lottery pick this summer. We aren't getting him for what we have available unless Booker was on the block. Kessler is a building block for their future and not trade fodder. The Jazz aren't trying to win now but he's young and cheap talent worth hanging on to while they wait for someone to blossom into a star or find a way to acquire one. Kessler can be a key component in a deal for a star before his rookie deal comes up.

We have similar taste in players as I was discussing trading for Stewart with Hoop Head the other day. There are other players listed I like as well but it may come down to who is obtainable and competition from other playoff aspiring teams.

It looks like December 15th is the date when newly signed free agents can be traded.

Jonas Valanciunas is a likely target.

Please remind me, during the Bender and Chris years, did we have a chance to nab both Fox and that PG/SG with the beard on the Nuggets? I sure hope Matt Ishiba has a new crew, or these dudes have finally figured things out.

I remember wanting to pick both. The Denver guy shot FTs with his eyes closed. Sign me up for that. Maybe I should have been a scout? Could not do much worse than what the Suns have done since 2015.

The Suns could have drafted Fox, probably traded for the Shai pick and drafted Haliburton.

Talk about going for the Hail Mary.

The Suns have been known for their point guards. Phoenix once had Kevin Johnson, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash on the same roster.
