The No. 7 seed Golden State Warriors hold a 3-2 series lead over the No. 2 seed Houston Rockets heading into Friday night's first-round playoff matchup at the Chase Center.

After jumping out to a 3-1 lead in the series, the Warriors suffered a 131-116 loss to the home-team Rockets in Game 5.

Before tipoff on Friday night, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made a major change to Golden State's starting lineup.

The Warriors are starting Stephen Curry, Buddy Hield, Gary Payton II, Jimmy Butler III and Draymond Green.

Payton took the starting spot previously held by second-year guard Brandin Podziemski. There was also some discussion about Moses Moody potentially taking Hield's starting spot in Game 6, but Kerr is sticking with the veteran shooting guard in his starting lineup.

Fans took to the comment section to react to this news.

"Podz been our third best player but alright," one wrote.

"Have we seen this lineup at any point this year?" another asked.

"No fixed lineup at this time of the season Lmao!! Won't be surprised if they blow this 3 - 1 lead," another said.

"I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team with so many different lineups throughout a series, respect it," another added.

The Warriors are starting Gary Payton II in Brandin Podziemski’s place tonight.

Podziemski put together a stellar performance in the Warriors' Game 4 win, recording 26 points, five rebounds and five assists on 9-of-18 shooting from the field and 6-of-11 shooting from behind the 3-point arc. Through 21 minutes in Game 5, he notched just eight points on 3-of-7 shooting from the field.

Payton averaged 6.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.8 steals in 15.2 minutes per game through the Warriors' first five postseason contests.

If Kerr and the Warriors can take care of business on Friday night, they'll move on to face off against the No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves in Round 2. If not, the series will head back to Houston for Game 7.
