The Keim era has commonly looked like it was devoid of any long term plan or identity. It has been more of a random accumulation of moves and hirings which do not seem to working together to any sort of end goal.

Sounds similar to the team on Jefferson St circa 2014.

AZCentral and Kent Somers have turned off the lights on Keim.

"But he’s (Kliff) saddled with a roster lacking in talent because his boss, General Manager Steve Keim, has made mistake after mistake, especially when it comes to drafting good players.

Cardinals fans prefer Keim to be escorted out by security now, although that serves little purpose. But if there is no significant improvement, cardboard boxes should await Keim when he reports to work on Dec. 30, the date after the season ends."

If a new GM is brought in, he'll want his own dudes, if he worth his salt. That means no KK and KM will probably be traded for a fifth, in two years. Not saying that is a bad thing it will just be starting over. Hopefully then we could start building a long term solution, but that is a 4 to 5 year plan.

A new GM will have Kingsbury fall on the sword. Kliff is probably safe for next year even with Keim’s dismissal.

I would bet the house that Adrian Wilson will replace Keim maybe even before the year is over, assuming we don’t see exponential growth throughout the year.

Don’t know if Wilson is the right guy to replace Keim but that’s how I think it will go.

Wilson is a power house inside the Cardinals from many accounts so he is not walking out of this fire like Mother of Dragons unscathed. We are entering Suns territory with Cardinals.

That is what I figure as well. But the new guy will want his dudes. It really comes down to the new guys philosophy.

He will but nobody is going to want this job next season even with a new GM. At least Kingsbury will continue to modernize the offense he just won’t have any say in who the team drafts or signs.

Entering? We had the worst record in the NFL, we're already there.

When Somers puts stuff like this out in the open, you know the gears are moving towards Keim's termination. Somers doesn't write this without some inside information.

I think Kent reads this board, too. Someone made that same security escort comment in the game thread.

Going into this season, I felt the chances of Keim being fired at the end were less than 20% d/t Keim's long-standing relationship with ownership. It's now around 50%.

I am at 100%, Keim will be gone at the bye. You will always need a sacrificial lamb to keep the masses glued in. None left except Keim.

Agree with Gator. Both Somers and Bickley are independent.

Now, when big daddy p**p Gambo gets on the bandwagon we know the decision is already made and Gambo is hired to misleed the masses.

What is the conversion chart for being honest for a columnist vs a beat writer? Why cant Somers call a terrible situation terrible without permission?

There's a difference between calling out a situation and calling out a specific person, namely the front office. Somers was open about his concerns with hiring Kliff and then drafting Murray/trading Rosen. He has free reign in that department. When it comes to going after other's jobs, that comes with a considerable amount of risk if done without a base.

I am sorry if this posted before here. This is some serious charge that a local radio host is leveling. Without proof would not this radio host be in legal trouble here for slandering?

I don't remember his name, Xavier something or other, who works for the Rams, Mitch had a writeup on him in ROTB, and he seemed to have pretty good credentials. Pretty sure SK will last this season, but will then be fired. You need a proven GM candidate, and I don't think AW or Harris fits that description.

Wait till the season is over but start getting the list and info on GM candidates. I do like Kyler Murray and would definitely give Kingsbury another year but we need a new GM to build a solid team around Kyler. Also don't promote from within as we need a new fresh face from a winning organization.
