The Pittsburgh Steelers' countdown to kickoff is full steam ahead for the 2026 NFL regular season, with fans needing to wait only 67 more days until the Steel City brand of football returns when the Steelers host the Atlanta Falcons on September 13.
In the spirit of the countdown, we at Steelers Wire will take a look at the history of the No. 67 jersey and analyze which player wore it best.
Former Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Brock Hoffman is the current No. 67 on the Steelers roster. Capable of playing both guard and center, Hoffman brings important versatility to the new Mike McCarthy-led Steelers in 2026.
When it comes to No. 67, there's no greater wearer than defensive lineman Gary Dunn.
Dunn, drafted by the Steelers in the sixth round of the 1976 NFL Draft, appeared in 146 games and made 105 starts from 1976 to 1987.
Dunn was named Second-Team All-Pro (NEA) in 1984. His consistency and relentless work ethic played a big part in leading the Steelers to two Super Bowl championships (XIII, XIV), clearly deserving of being recognized as the best No. 67 in team history.
