The Pittsburgh Steelers made an important injury decision ahead of their playoff matchup against the Houston Texans.

On Sunday, the Steelers downgraded defensive tackle Isaiahh Loudermilk (ankle) from questionable to out for Monday’s wild-card game against the Texans.

The #Steelers are downgrading DT Isaiahh Loudermilk (ankle) to OUT for Monday night's Wild Card game. He is still in the 21-day window to return from IR.

A fifth-year defensive lineman, Loudermilk has missed the past 15 games after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Pittsburgh’s Week 2 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

Loudermilk returned to practice on Friday, opening his 21-day injured reserve window, in which the Steelers must either activate him or leave him on IR for the remainder of the season.

A limited participant in back-to-back practices to close out the week, Loudermilk will have another opportunity to return this season if the Steelers can pull off a wild-card victory over the Texans, which would be Pittsburgh’s first postseason win in almost a decade.
