Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Dylan Cook put together multiple breakout performances to close out the 2025 season, and he may have earned himself a starting opportunity heading into 2026.

From now to the start of the regular season, we at Steelers Wire will be analyzing every player on the roster. Here's a look at Cook and what could be in store for his 2026 season.

At a glance

Career with the Steelers

Cook, who signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2022, was waived in May 2023 and then quickly signed with Pittsburgh.

After brief off-and-on stints with the Steelers' practice squad during the 2024 season, Cook played a much bigger role in 2025, where he emerged as a starting-caliber offensive tackle following injuries to Broderick Jones and Andrus Peat.

What's next in 2026?

With Jones still injured and first-round rookie Max Iheanachor viewed as a physically gifted but raw prospect, Cook is expected to get the starting nod at right tackle to start the 2026 season.
