The Pittsburgh Steelers received an important injury update ahead of their playoff matchup against the Houston Texans.
After missing Thursday’s practice with a surprise and unspecified illness, running back Jaylen Warren returned on Friday as a full participant — great news for his availability against the Texans in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
Signing with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2022, Warren was finally given the starting opportunity following Najee Harris’ departure this offseason. The fourth-year Steelers running back more than made the most of his opportunity, producing 1,291 yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns in 16 games this season.
Warren’s availability against the Texans will be huge for Pittsburgh’s offense, but a different playmaker is dealing with a new setback, courtesy of Friday’s injury report.
