The Pittsburgh Steelers had the chance to make a massive late-season statement in Week 16. Going on the road to face the Detroit Lions, who were in desperate need of a win to stay alive in the NFC playoff race, a win to get Pittsburgh to 9-6 put a ton of pressure on the Baltimore Ravens. it took all 60 minutes but they got it done.

The Steelers win means if the Ravens lose to the New England Patriots Sunday night, the Ravens would have to defeat the Green Bay Packers in Week 17 to remain alive in the playoff race.

Here are the AFC North standings, as well as the overall playoff standings in the AFC.

AFC North Standings​

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers 9-6
  2. Baltimore Ravens 7-7
  3. Cincinnati Bengals 5-10
  4. Cleveland Browns 3-12
