Steelers complete in-person interview No. 3 with HC candidate

Add one more in-person interview to the growing list of potential head coach candidates for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Steelers reportedly hosted Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver for an in-person interview early Friday morning.

Weaver previously found success in 2021 as the Ravens defensive run game coordinator, leading Baltimore’s defense to be No. 1 against the run. Additionally, during his tenure as the Dolphins defensive coordinator, Miami ranked No. 4 overall, No. 9 against the run, and No. 10 in points surrendered in 2024.

Along with Weaver, the Steelers have previously held in-person interviews with Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores and former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy.

There are still other deserving candidates to keep a close eye on over the next few weeks, such as former Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott and Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula.
