Joey Porter Jr. is heading into the final year of his rookie contract, and one Pittsburgh Steelers insider predicts the team will hand out a massive new deal.
According to Steelers insider Mark Kaboly, Porter's new deal with Pittsburgh could be a four-year, $112 million extension with around $40 million guaranteed. This would give Porter an average annual value of $28 million, making him the fourth-highest-paid cornerback in the league behind Trent McDuffie ($31 million), Sauce Gardner ($30.1 million), and Derek Stingley Jr. ($30 million).
Earlier reports suggested that the Steelers valued Porter closer to $20 million, while he was looking for a deal closer to $30 million. But Kaboly's prediction actually bridges the gap fairly well, as Porter Jr. would still be among the highest-paid cornerbacks in the league.
With hopes that the two sides will come to an agreement by training camp, we at Steelers Wire remain committed to providing key updates, news, and details about Porter's contract negotiations with Pittsburgh.

I see Joey Porter Jr.'s new deal ending up being a 4-year, $112 million extension with $40ish million guaranteed. Total of 5 years, $116 million, IMO.
