Most of the fans tend to share the opinion that we can throw on theses DB's...Might want to open the game with a bomb to Gilmore....

I believe one of their CB's is starting his first game against us. This might be a good week to start Blake, for those of you who have him on your fantasy leagues.

Go Cards!!!

I smell a smokescreen...maybe.. We may come out passing - since everyone assumes we will run and run it some more like the last two games..and mac said we are running it 35 times... yea...you may want to give blake a shot if you have him in your fantasy league..

Thats one man's opinion of course but the reason he says that is most running backs haven't had success running against us. The strength of our team is stopping the run. We held Priest in check til the last run of the game, the same with William Green and runners like Jamal Lewis,Shaun Alexander and Clinton Portis(who said the Steelers is the best run defense he faced in the NFL so far) were held in check. Nothing against Marcel Shipp, but Kendrell Bell,James Farrior and Joey Porter will probally be the three best set of linebackers he faces this year. The odds are good for the Steelers, if OC Jerry Sullivan wants to establish a running game. With Blake's knowledge of the Steelers and his accurate deep ball, the game plan should be to air it out.

Actually CB Deshea Townsend has started 6 games in his career but this will be the first this season.

Isn't Ike Taylor starting? Rookie from Louisiane Lafayette?

As I recall, last year the Titans did that on the first play and scored a TD. Couldn't hurt. Do it on a play-action pass...I think they'll bite for the run.

My projected Play Call of the Game:

In a blitz situation, hand it to Hodgins on a quick-hitter. No one will be back there.

Taylor, their rookie starting this week, has played all of two snaps so far this year. He's big and apparently super fast, but he didn't even play CB in college full time. This guy should be a target. Run a reverse to his side and see if he doesn't find himself on the wrong side of the field.

Welcome mulpwr...

How has Maddox looked this year? He's got some very good wideouts in Burress and Ward. Who's starting at HB this week? Zerroue or the Bus? What' the deal with the O-Line...Injuries? Are they giving Maddox time to throw? I think it'll be a good, close game on Sunday...

I tend to agree with you the Steelers run defense is better than either the 49ers or the Bengals was. Shipp will have a much harder time getting 140+ this week.

Pittsburgh has more talent than their record indicates this is a tough game. Winnable but the Cards are going to have to throw this week, and to more than just Boldin. I'd settle for 2 short TD's by Freddie, 2 by SHipp(both on my fantasy team)!

I expect a good game, now I just have to figure out where in Honolulu I can watch the game, and how to do that without my girlfriend killing me.

Pittsburgh's starting left offensive tackle in this game, is a guard. They will have a hard time scoring on us.

At all.

I'm looking for three sacks, and three picks on Tommy.

Yes All Pro Alan Faneca has moved from LG to LT where he is less effective. He still is very good,no matter where you put him. Only three sacks lol:thumbup: The Steelers RT and RG will be where the Cards should get pressure from.

Yes, the Steeler's run defense is good.

BUT - Marcel ran for 61 yards on 14 carries in his first start this year against the Ravens. That's 4.36 yards per carry against another good run defense.

So . . . I guess we'll see.

If I lived in Honolulu do you think I'd spend every day on this board talking with you guys (-:

No we're going on a short vacation, leave 9am tomorrow come back the 12th.

I have no chance of seeing the game unless it's raining or something.

The primary difference was we threw the ball a lot more against the Ravens and that was something we all complained about, especially with 3 picks one for a TD.

I expect a good game I just hope the Cards come out on top.

If you guys fire Cowher I'll be surprised, he's held that team together for years while losing one FA after another.

The last 2 weeks he's carried 35 and 29 times. At 4.36 yards per, that's quite a bit more than 61 yards.

Also, the Ravens for the Cardinals was a cluster____.

As I said, we'll see. . .
