Will the higher power that seems hell-bent on giving the Cardinals every possible, conceivable opportunity to take a seven-step drop into the NFC playoffs — otherwise known as the losers bracket — please quit it already?
The Big Red is 4-8. They’ve lost three in a row. Their quarterback has all the confidence of Eyeore, their aging running back is up on blocks, and their offensive line can’t make any.

Still, Dennis Green’s preseason boast stays on life support because the rest of the West has fallen and can’t get up:

• Can’t beat the 1-11 49ers when they are at full strength? Fine. San Francisco leaves its starting quarterback (Tim Rattay) and only decent running back (Kevan Barlow) behind for the game Sunday in Tempe.

• Can’t beat the 6-6 Rams next week without some help? Gotcha. Quarterback Marc Bulger has already been ruled out for next week and Marshall Faulk didn’t play last week and remains questionable.

• Just wait. Three weeks from now, Matt Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander of the Seahawks will be called for jury duty before the Cardinals get to Seattle.

Even with all the good fortune, the Cardinals still have to actually do something. I haven’t seen a scenario yet where Arizona can qualify for the postseason with four wins.

I'm waiting until after the Rams game. The price (set by the NFL, according to the letter) is more than double what we usually pay. Having to pony up that much, right before Christmas, I'll wait as long as possible.

I think the Rams might be better off with Faulk out, they can run their young back and get him some good experience for next season. We have a way of making backup RBs look all pro. We do it every single year.

Chandler isn't going to be that bad throwing to their WRs either against us.

I just got my confirmation today.

I am not going to put that money. Even if we do make the playoffs, and that is a gigantic if, we won't have a home playoff game.

I think I will take my chances.

Didn't know that. But I bet this dude gets picked up like mad in a bunch o' fantasy leagues that week. He's good to break a 50 yarder on us, easy. At least one TD.

We may, if we play a wildcard the first round, and we are the division winners, we may have home field. If this happens, I will laugh my ass off...

Oh, I don't think it will happen. I'm pretty sure we lose to the Seahags on the road.

Damn you guys are right.

But I know that if I send the money we won't make it. If I don't send the money we will make it for sure. Hmmm... decisions, decisions.

How much money is it? Is it for all the games possible if we make it in (3 games)?

I haven't got my invoice yet (probably in my mailbox that I haven't checked.)

KOC, what's your normal seat price?

Is that for more than one game?

I have 4 seats, so I'm guessing this bill will be ginormous.

Wow. That's a huge jump. More than double.

And I will pay it with a smile on my face if we make the playoffs. :)

Wait till we beat the niners. The playoff talk will really ratchet up a couple of notches then. It'll be all over the board.

You won't be able to swing a dead cat without hitting a playoff scenario.

And, the McCown bandwagon should get a fresh coat of paint and some new tires against that 49er d.

Next week on the board will be more interesting than this one.

They don't want 65 they want 185.00. You have to pay for 3 games, I think. Something doesn't add up. $185 divided by $75 isn't 2 or 3.

wtf?

no thanks. If we go to the playoffs  I'll just walk up and buy tickets from the scalpers. I rather spend good money like getting 10 christmas angels than pay $185 IMO.
