You do know the dude is a damn good actor, right? We aren't talking about some world class actor in Shatner.
I don't know of ANYONE that can match the acting talents of Shatner.

Except Jason Alexander, who studied under Shatner and credits the Great Wig for teaching him everything he knows about acting.

The thing about Shatner and Kirk isn't that he was a great actor, it's that he had a specific character charisma and presence that you must have. Lebouf (sp?) is a good actor, but he sure in the heck doesn't have the younk Kirk kind of charisma. Sorry, but when I look at him, I don't picture a young man who is already starting to people entire solar systems with his offspring

Like Stout said, it's not his acting talent that is in question...he just doesn't seem very "Kirk-like".
Zachary Quinto is a slamdunk as Spock however.
