Just saw this on the draft. Bobcats may trade Brandon Wright to the Warrior for Jason Richardson.

WTF is Jordan doing?

Warriors save like 10M$ so they can probably extend Ellis and Biedrins and resign Barnes and Pietrus..

I think the Bobcats are tired of waiting and want to compete now. They'll compete better tomomrrow with Richardson... In 2 years? Probably not.

Good to see another future dominant PF in the west.

Still not sure they keep Pietrus but I hope so still one of my favorite Warriors.

not sure how Wright fits yet he's definitely a 4 not a 5 so as long as Nellie doesn't try to play him at C I guess it will be ok.

Sad to see Richardson go it will be interesting to see what that means with Baron who's reportedly pretty tight with him. They had to get bigger and with Richardson coming off knee surgery and the chance to free up money to extend players I think it's the right move.

I really don't get why you guys think Jordan got worked here. his lineup right now is:

PG?
Richardson
Wallace
May
Okafor

Morrison

that's a pretty solid, YOUNG/Athletic core - if they find a PG, that's a damn good team, especially in the East.

Didn't Wallace opt out of his contract?

Raymond Felton is their point guard.

At least we wont have to worry about Jason Richardson killing us anymore. I guess the Warriors got a good deal but they match up worse with us now since Wright won't be able to guard Amare either.

And Orlando is a young up and comming team with Howard and capspace and it's Florida?

as opposed to the Magic who's one of the worst franchises in the NBA? And didn't Charlotte just basically add in essence a FA for 12 million dollars a year in Richardson and play pretty well the second half of the season?

Kawakami wrote today taht Mullin admitted to him they've talked to the Wolves about Garnett. So he's speculating this deal may be connected, maybe offer Wright in a package for Garnett.

The Wariors also received apx. a 10 mil TE with this deal!

If I am Kevin Garnett or Kobe Bryant I would not want to go to Golden State. Sure, I think they could compete in the Western Conference with one of those guys... if Baron Davis stays healthy. However that's a big "if".

At this point Garnett is going to go where he's told. The Suns have no trading pieces at all anymore. They can't begin to make a credible offer.

I'm still a bit unclear about the trade trigger that pushes his salary to $28 million. After the 12 zillion posts on KG, I'm still not clear about it works.

That may be true, but don't forget that he has a trade kicker and can opt out of his contract next summer. I doubt anybody is going to sell the farm for him if they have to pay $28 million and no assurance that he'll actually return to their in 2008-09.
