Sophie Cunningham has become known for being outspoken, a strong supporter and defender of her Indiana Fever teammates and even the "glue stick" of the team. Her personality is consistently on display, whether it's on the court or the Fever bench, and it's hard not to appreciate any player who wears their emotions on their sleeve. The positive vibes she puts out on the floor are apparent, and she recently discussed it, pointing it back to her family.
When asked by ClutchPoints' Hayden Cilley about where the positive energy comes from, Cunningham had a great response, comparing her family to "natural crackheads."
“I think it’s just who I am to the core," Cunningham said. "I mean, if you know my family, we’re all just a bunch of natural crackheads. So, it’s kind of fun to be a Cunningham.”
The honesty is always refreshing, and it's easy to see why Cunningham has become an immediate fan favorite not only in Indiana but nationwide among WNBA viewers. To top it off, Cunningham's injury and impact off the bench have also played a significant role for the Fever season, as they're now 13-9 after winning three of the last four games and four of the last six.
