In a galaxy far far away [ok a state] there was once a ASFN photographer who got to go behind the scenes.

As I just got a new camera for xmas I taking a more serious approach to organizing my stuff. That includes a LOT of Cardinals photos.

To add interest when they uploaded to Google Photos the assistance did some magic and created some cool animations.

You have to be a real Cardinals nerd to like this stuff but I figured there had to be at least one of those here.

Yeah, it really was. I remember going to a weekday Cardinals practice at training camp in Flagstaff one weekday morning and I counted 22 fans watching that practice. Such apathy about our team is becoming a distant memory. Those of us who went through the bad times when this was maybe the worst run franchise in all of pro sports are really enjoying the last few seasons. I know it's still fun for the johnny-come-latelies, but it is more meaningful for those of us who stuck with this team through the really bad years.

Oh man do these bring back some memories. Sure wish the Cards were still training in Flag, but oh well. Great to see that blue Smith jersey (I had a Plummer one) and many players from years ago.
