Reed Arena was rocking as Texas A&M secured its third straight SEC victory, knocking off Oklahoma 83–76 and continuing to look more like an NCAA Tournament team with each passing week.
The Aggies have been one of the early surprises of league play—especially for a roster built on the fly under a first‑year head coach coming from the mid‑major ranks. When Bucky McMillan arrived in College Station, only one scholarship player remained. A roster full of newcomers who had never played together is finally starting to gel, and the ceiling still hasn’t been reached. Even more impressive: they’re doing it while their best player continues to anchor the floor.
It’s been a true team effort, and every night seems to produce a different X‑factor. This time, senior Rylan Griffen delivered the spark, knocking down several timely shots on his way to 14 points. But the heartbeat of the program remains Rashaun Agee, who powered his way to another double‑double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Conference play is just getting started, and there’s a long road ahead, but the Aggies are playing confident, connected basketball—and they’re becoming a problem for anyone who catches them on the wrong night. McMillan asked fans for patience, promising his team would compete. Three games into SEC play, he’s been true to his word.
Below are some of the best reactions to the home win over the Sooners.

3-0 to start SEC play
Bucky Ball makes basketball fun to watch
Fun team to watch, especially once they get going from 3
Bucky McMillan has done an exceptional job up to this point. https://t.co/XAmCiASd2u

Rashaun Agee gets his seventh double-double of the season
Double-double from Rashaun Agee with 16 & 12. A couple huge buckets the last 6 minutes - rebounded everything.
3-0 in SEC play.
Despite OU slowing the Aggies down a little in second half, A&M prioritized post touches and match-ups to take advantage.
Great home win.

Doing a lot despite the challenges
Last P5 head coach hired.
2 weeks late to the portal.
Had one player on his roster.
Only played 4 games at full strength.
His best player is out for the year.
… and yet Bucky McMillan and the Aggies are 13-3 and off to a 3-0 start in SEC play
Bucky Ball. Believe in it. pic.twitter.com/aluW0JNGLt

Another One
Six in a row and possibly an NCAA Tournament team
Bucky McMillan has rallied Texas A&M. Aggies have now won six straight games after today's win over Oklahoma. Look like an NCAA Tournament contender despite losing Mackenzie Mgbako to a season-ending injury.

A&M takes care of business at home and defeats Oklahoma by a score of 83-76!
They’ve now improved to 13-3 on the season and 3-0 in SEC play!
