The Cleveland Browns took the field for the first of three mandatory minicamp practices this week on Tuesday, the last before training camp at the end of next month. The quarterback competition continues as Shedeur Sanders got the bulk of the work with the first team. Head coach Todd Monken talked about the plan to have Deshaun Watson get the bulk of the first-team work on Wednesday before splitting reps in the final practice on Thursday.
Monken seems to be in no rush to decide who he plans to name the week one starter and will likely wait until training camp to figure that out, which I believe is the best course of action. Making a decision before any pads come on seems rushed.
Wide receivers Denzel Boston and Isaiah Bond continue to make attention-grabbing plays, hopefully a good sign that the position group will be much better than last season. Here are some of the sights and sounds from Tuesday's practice.
