The Las Vegas Raiders are slated to enter NFL free agency on March 11 with $91.5 million in cap space, according to Over The Cap. That is the second-most scheduled financial flexibility in the league, trailing just the Tennessee Titans. New head coach Klint Kubiak will expect general manager John Spytek to aggressively pursue roster upgrades.
Kubiak especially hopes to improve the Raiders' run game. He had a vast impact on the Seattle Seahawks' ground attack as their offensive coordinator last season. As did Rick Dennison, who Kubiak has hired as his offensive line coach.
That could influence the Raiders to look for offensive line upgrades in free agency. One obvious target could be Baltimore Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum. Linderbaum is universally considered the best offensive lineman scheduled to hit the open market.
The Raiders struggled at center last season. Pete Carroll moved Jackson Powers-Johnson to guard to accommodate Jordan Meredith at center. It backfired, and it's unclear what Kubiak's plans are for Powers-Johnson moving forward. If he stays at guard, upgrading at center by replacing Meredith with Linderbaum should garner consideration.
Spotrac projects Linderbaum to sign a four-year, $70.8 million contract in free agency. That would pay the former Iowa standout $17.7 million per season. Linderbaum has established himself as one of the best centers in the NFL, and he's the type of talent who could help immediately transform Kubiak's offense. The Raiders owe it to Ashton Jeanty to field a better offensive line in 2026.
