Congratulations to Greensburg's Aly Powers on being voted Player of the Week for Dec. 1-6! Powers posted 17 points in a seven-point loss to Hamilton Southeastern, then tallied a game-high 26 points to orchestrate a come-from-behind win over Gibson Southern on Saturday.
Insider: What we've learned halfway through the girls basketball season
Here were the top performers from the past week.
The 5-9 guard strung together three impressive performances, going for 18 points, six rebounds, two assists and five steals vs. Wawasee, 26 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and five steals vs. Concord and 24p oints, four rebounds, an assist and six steals vs. Portage Central.
Berzai scored a double-double in a win over University with 17 points and 10 assists. The senior also collected seven rebounds and three steals.
The sophomore point guard netted a career-high 19 points, two assists, four rebounds and a steal in a win over Fishers. She went 5-for-8 from 3.
The sophomore returned to the Snider lineup with a bang. She posted 23 points, six rebounds and four steals in a blowout win over FW Wayne, then helped the Panthers eek out a three-point win over Carmel, scoring 12 points.
The senior dropped 31 points on 13-of-26 shooting with a single 3 and a 4-for-4 mark at the line. She also tallied nine rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 72-57 win over South Bend Saint Joseph.
Diedrich-Williams netted 39 points with three triples, plus seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and three blocks in a one-point loss to South Adams.
The 6-1 sophomore posted a pair of double-doubles, going for 28 points and 15 rebounds against Anderson Prep and 19 points and 13 rebounds vs. Scecina. She also totaled 10 steals, seven assists and three blocks.
The Arabians junior posted a double-double in an upset win over Hamilton Southeastern, notching 13 points, 10 rebounds and three assists, then netted 27 points, 14 rebounds and six steals in a win over Delta.
The sophomore scored nine points on 3-of-4 shooting with a couple rebounds, two assists and a steal in a win over Concordia Lutheran, then went for a season-high 20 points in a loss to Leo.
Mack dropped 33 points vs. Prairie Heights on Friday.
Rogers nearly clocked a triple-double vs. Anderson, logging 15 points, 10 assists and seven steals in the victory, which improved Purdue Poly to 9-1 on the season.
The sophomore had a career performance in a blowout win over New Washington, posting 22 points and eight rebounds in the 75-17 win.
Stidham celebrated senior night with 24 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and a couple blocks in a win over Avon on Friday.
The senior was a key contributor to the Royals' run to the Marion County championship. She scored 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting vs. Decatur Central, added eight points in a win over Franklin Central, then went for 12 points in an upset of top-ranked Lawrence Central on Saturday.
The senior totaled 50 points in wins over Plymouth and Fort Wayne Carroll last week, drilling 12 triples (third and fourth straight games with six-plus 3s) and adding on four steals and four assists.
