According to a report from The Detroit News, former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore has placed his Ann Arbor-area home on the market, another visible sign that his chapter with the Wolverines has closed.
The 5,858-square-foot residence in Scio Township is listed for $1.7 million, according to Realtor.com. Moore purchased the home in 2023 for $1.3 million, shortly before he became Michigan’s head coach.
The five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home sits on a half-acre lot and features a three-car garage, swimming pool, hot tub, hardwood floors, chef-style kitchen and three fireplaces.
The property also includes a pond and has received approximately $300,000 in improvements, according to the listing.
Built in 2005, the contemporary brick home represents the kind of high-end property often associated with a major college football coach. Its appearance on the market comes during a dramatic period of change for Moore and Michigan football.
Michigan fired Moore in December after the university said it found credible evidence that he had an inappropriate relationship with former university employee Paige Shiver and was dishonest about it.
Moore later pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of trespassing and malicious use of a telecommunications device following an incident at Shiver’s apartment. He was sentenced in April to 18 months of probation and avoided jail time.
Selling the home appears to be part of that next chapter.
Moore became Michigan’s head coach in January 2024 after Jim Harbaugh left the program. He was the first Black head coach in Michigan football history and the school’s youngest head coach in more than 50 years.
