that's not true. The Celtics made their trade a couple days ago and they've been flapping their gum freely about it since it went down.

The Suns look like freaking cowards right now waiting this long to talk about why they willfully are bringing a guy who brutally beat a woman a couple years ago, while sending off another unprotected first round pick in the process.
It is absolutely true. You can't compare the Celtics' trade or any other trade for that matter. Every trade is not equal. When it is official, the Suns will have a press conference. And a very uncomfortable press conference it will be.

Has the trade been made official? I don't know if I've seen that. I agree, the Suns do look bad for not addressing it if the trade has indeed happened.

I only ask because if it isn't official, we could point to Grayson's health, maybe he didn't pass the physical yet or something?
You haven't. And neither has Cheese.

What are you talking about? You claimed we can't talk about it because it's not official until July 9th with the league year. The same is true for the Celtics and THEY ARE STILL COMMENTING ON IT.

We CAN talk about it. We're just choosing not to and look like freaking cowards for doing so.

I'm sure the Suns are preparing for how they are going to handle the press conference. It is NOT going to be an easy one.

You really think they're not going to talk about it? Not going to have a press conference?

no - i was wrong about the league year stuff. I thought the July 9th date was a league date for all trades to officially go through, re: Celts talking about their trade. my bad there.

I'm sure they're going to talk about it and rationalize how he fits their culture and look like idiots in the process. I'm just curious what the hold up is here compared to other trades that have gone thru already.

Most likely.

They can't just make a statement and then not allow follow up questions. It's going to be a very uncomfortable press conference. On the other hand, I can't see them having Bridges sit up there and take question after question about it.

Mat Ishbia and Brian Gregory need to be held accountable for how this meshes with their high character player mantra they have been preaching. They are the ones that traded for Bridges so they should take the brunt of it.

Anyway, it's all going to be very interesting. Do the Suns dare make an opening statement about it and then not allow further questions regarding it? How do y'all see it going down?

The LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges trades are not yet finalized as the Hornets are combining them in a larger framework.

The Hornets, Bulls, Suns, Timberwolves, and Nets are set up to be involved in a five-team package that will be announced later this week.

The only way I like this is if we take some of newly freed up picks and Jalen to trade for Jaylen Brown. That's not likely happening but I think it would make us a dark horse in the West.

Book, Brown, Brooks, Bridges, Williams is an intriguing lineup.
Jaylwn Brown's gone now but that trade proposal for the Suns would have left You got no length & no power forward or point guard still. Bridges is not 6'7" well maybe in shoes. But four 6'5" guys and a 7'1" center? Suns need a 6'9" power forward & point guard still to complete the rotation.

Most teams don't have a 6'9" PF. Look at New York and San Antonio, the 2 finals teams, and they ran a C with a plethora of guards and wings.

Barkley was generously listed at 6' 6" and was definitely a PF, so height isn't everything. However, calling Bridges one is a stretch, pardon the pun. He doesn't rebound like a PF, doesn't protect the rim, doesn't get to the line that much, and almost 43% of his shot attempts last season were threes. Everything about his profile says wing.

For those wondering why the MilesBridges trade is not complete. Minnesota, Charlotte and Brooklyn have to compete their trade first. So this could go into next week. There are no concerns. Just some logistics and timing before it gets finalized
