So tonight is going to reverberate for weeks. In one of the strangest managerial moves I can remember, Torey decided to pinch hit Arenado for our back up catcher James McCann up by 10. What followed was McCann trying to beat out an infield hit despite being cold off the bench and pulling a hammy despite being out.

Torey says it's a hamstring and a multi week injury.

To track what Torey did with McCann...he pinch hit his 3B with his backup catcher with the intent of making his DH play 3rd base, thus losing his DH.

So if Arrenado takes the AB and the same happens is Torey at fault for leaving him in during a blowout? I understand people have their beef with Torey but come on

I made the comment right after the Giants made a couple errors and bone headed plays. It was feeling really sloppy at the time. It's fun when we're pounding the ball but not when they're doing crap like forgetting to cover 1st base.

This game is so taxing and grueling. Marte has been stinging the ball virtually all season, and not getting any payoff… and then tonight - BOOM! His first career walk-off HR. Amazing…
