D-backs probably should have won vs Brewers on Friday but lost, and had no business winning on Saturday but won
Coming into series best I was hoping for was a split of first 2 games and a chance to win series behind E-RodNot how you’d draw it up but here we are

I was watching a 1976 Cincinnati-Philadelphia playoff game on YouTube this morning and it was so nice to not hear about exit velocity, launch angles, spin rate, or a myriad of pointless stat breakdowns.

I guess the thing is that I was spoiled growing up listening to Vin Scully on KTAR, and then getting Steve Berthiaume every game is such a step down. But then when I watch other teams it's pretty much the new style throughout baseball.

After the top 3 in the order for the Dbacks, the rest of the lineup appears to be "NO HOPE".

I would add Montero. He's been hitting really well.

On the other hand, Gonzalez, Troy, Tawa and Waldschmidt all got off to hot starts when they came up and all four have faded. Del Castillo hasn't developed, and neither did Alek Thomas. It really makes you wonder about the coaching staff and managerial philosophy.

Back under .500...even with our best pitcher on the bump. Bats couldn't take advantage of the Milwaukee SP with 50 pitches through 2 innings. At least the Dbacks didn't get swept. Small consolation.

There are so many Monday Morning Quarterbacks on here. Nothing is said until it doesn't work out. I am on another DBacks site that took care of that by only acknowledging when someone says it BEFORE. That took care of that. I can't take it seriously when someone says it after the fact. In fact, it is amusing. I am on the new manager train, but if you think he is making a bad move, say it ahead of time. For the record, DBack Jon has done this more than once, so I respect his decision.

1 bad inning on mound, and a boatload of bad luck on balls in play from batters box cost D-backs as they drop series rubber match to Brewers 3-2They drop back below .500 to 44-45Now head to San Diego 4.0 games back of Cardinals for 3rd NL WC, also trail 3 other teams.
