Of the SouthCoast's nine softball teams, seven have qualified for the 2026 MIAA state tournament.
Apponequet has the highest seed among local squads, ranked No. 5 in Div. 3. GNB Voc-Tech and Fairhaven are in the top 15 in the same bracket. All three teams will host Round of 32 matchups.
Dartmouth will host a preliminary round game while New Bedford and Wareham are on the road for Round of 32 contests. Old Colony travels for a preliminary matchup in Div. 4.
Here’s a look at the seven playoff-bound SouthCoast softball teams and their opening matchups:

Seed: No. 5 in Div. 3
Opening matchup: Hosts the winner of No. 28 Belchertown (11-7) and No. 37 Ursuline Academy (11-7) in the Round of 32 at a date and time to be determined.
