There may not have been a stranger play in the NFL last season than the Seattle Seahawks’ two-point conversion against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16. It spurred their dramatic comeback win over the Rams after trailing by 16 points in the fourth quarter, putting two points on the board to tie the game in the most bizarre way.
Sean McVay still hasn’t forgotten about that play, particularly after the Rams proposed two rule changes in response to that controversial play. They also would’ve liked to see a time limit for replay review to be initiated, but both proposals were withdrawn by Los Angeles.
During the annual league meeting on Monday, McVay joked with Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald about that very play, hilariously interrupting Macdonald’s presser to make a comment about the two-point conversion.
“What do you think about the two-point play?” McVay yelled.
Macdonald responded by asking if that’s “still on the table,” joking about the Rams’ rule proposal.
Macdonald says that's the first time he's talked to McVay since the end of the season.
Just some friendly banter between two rival coaches who have a lot of respect for each other. But rest assured: McVay won't soon forget about how pivotal that controversial play was in the Rams' season.
Had they won that game, they might've gone on to secure the No. 1 seed, giving them a chance to host the Seahawks in the NFC title game instead of playing on the road. It'll be water under the bridge eventually (we think).

Funny moment near the end of Mike Macdonald’s media session: Sean McVay popped in and jokingly asked, “What do you think of the two-point play?”
Macdonald smiled and said, “Is that still on the table?”

Sean McVay just came by and made a joke about the two point play. Have you guys talked about that before?
“No. That’s the first time I’ve talked to Sean since the end of the season.”
