NFL star Byron Murphy carried quite the good luck charm at his wedding to longtime love Maya Hurd — the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
The Seattle Seahawks cornerback, 28, married Hurd, a digital creator, in Texas on Saturday, March 14, and he brought the 7 lb. sterling silver trophy along for the ride. The nuptials came just weeks after Murphy played a key role in the Seahawks' win against the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8, recording two sacks.
In a video of the wedding festivities jointly shared on Instagram by Murphy and the NFL, the athlete and his bride can be seen making their grand entrance at their reception. Murphy, dressed in an all-white suit and white sneakers, held the trophy and triumphantly waved it in the air as Hurd danced alongside him.

He also shared a series of photos of himself holding and kissing the Lombardi Trophy. "WORLD MF CHAMP," he wrote in the caption.
Murphy popped the question to Hurd in June 2024. The couple announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post at the time, sharing a series of photos of the beach proposal.
