Will Seattle Seahawks running back Jadarian Price get out to an early lead in the 2026 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year race?

According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, Price will be positioned to translate ample opportunities on offense into a high level of production to begin next season and be among the early frontrunners for the OROY award along with Arizona Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love and Tennessee Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate.

Seattle’s starting running back, Zach Charbonnet, will begin next season on the shelf due to a torn ACL. Price will assume the starting role for the Seahawks to begin the year with Emanuel Wilson positioned to be his primary backup.

The Seahawks are a run-heavy offense that will present Price with the carries necessary to accumulate significant yardage in the run game, and then some. The Notre Dame product rushed for 674 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns in 2025 before declaring for the draft.

Price’s six yards per carry from his last season at Notre Dame suggest that his ability to use his speed, fight through contact and find holes in the defense to make the most of every rush is translatable to the next level, which will prime him to make a discernible impact on the Seahawks’ offense early and potentially pace the field in the OROY race.
