Per a little blurb I just heard on KDUS. Rod Graves had a press conference earlier today and also said that they will not be picking a QB in the first round this year.

McAddley, Kasper, Gilmore ? The more I think about it, we will be taking Andre Johnson at #6.

That's great - way to not rule out all options heading into the draft - at least Sanders and Lassiter's asses are history.

Proof that people are so contrarian they accept nothing said. Sometimes what seems to be a smokescreen isn't...otherwise everyone would know EVERYTHING is a smokescreen...which it isn't.

While I would like Leftwich (alot more than Suggs) I have never really believed the Cards would choose a QB in round 1. Sadly, Leftwich would bring so much of what the Cards need perhaps that is why they won't take him, if available. Too obvious.

Regardless of however much certain fans like Leftwich (and believe me I like the dude too), you were deluding yourselves to think we'd take the guy. This team has done nothing but talk about McCown like he's jesus for the last 6 months, and with the Blake signing, I just don't see it.

But it's possible that this is a smokescreen, although I doubt it.

MAN, do I wish we had Jack in the Box out east...those tacos are the BEST!!! Small, greasy, but somehow made just right. Half of my family lives in California, so we used to go there once in a while when I was young, and I came out for a game. Man, every time I'm there, I have a ton of those every day for lunch. Maybe I should open my own franchise here

Make no mistake. I thought it to be a HUGE longshot that the Cards would take Leftwich if available. I just think they would be dumb to pass him up...since he is the anti-Jake in almost every way.

I think McCown deserves a shot and the team (Mac) should have given him that shot last year. Now the team must make more decisions without having all the info they really need.

This isn't a smokescreen IMO about not taking a QB in round 1.

Good and good! Neither one of those players will make a difference so why sign them? Their best years are way behind them IMO.

If Leftwich is there and the Cardinals don't take him they are fools. You don't have a shot at a QB like him that often. McCown or Leftwich, which one would you rather have? I don't think there is even a doubt on that one.

There won't be a sure-thing pass rusher at 6 anyway so I'd take a potential franchise QB any day.

Tell me...What is the difference between a "won't be a sure-thing pass rusher" and someone with "potential"?

Sounds like the same thing to me.

The Cards go DL on the first two picks. A DT and a DE. I think Suggs is the man but they may take a DT at #6 and then maybe DE in rd 2.

#3 will be a WR.

That is my line and I am sticking to it....

No difference Storm. I prefer the QB than the pass rusher when the QB is Leftwich, that's all.

If the Cards focus on the D-Line, that will be great. I won't moan and groan about it at all. I will be disappointed if Leftwich is there and the Cards pass on him though. IMO you don't have a shot at a QB like him that often.

But, the Cards need run stoppers and pass rushers badly so I couldn't argue with addressing those needs in the draft. This team needs PLAYERS!!!!
