He's never been able to stay healthy... Bills acquired a 2nd - from Rams and a 3rd - from Eagles (while giving up a 6th) in the two trades, so they are clearly trying to collect some picks under the new regime.

Watkins is a free agent after this year.

seems like not the best optionality for the Rams:

1. Watkins is hurt / isnt good --- waste of the trade
2. Watkins is really good -- and leaves in free agency
3. Watkins is really good -- and resigns with the Rams for big $ -- which they could have done without giving up anything

Tavon Austin is due an 11.4m "roster bonus" this year. With Cooper Kupp playing well, the acquisition of Watkins, and Tavon being terrible...I bet he gets cut.
