NFL pre-draft events tend to be one of the more fun times on the schedule, as getting an idea of who each team is looking into and trying to surmise which positions they are interested in makes for a fun month or so in the media landscape. The New Orleans Saints usually cover their bases when it comes to reported meetings, talking to players of pretty much every position besides long snapper each year, likely because Zach Wood is a staple of this franchise long-term.
This offseason has been no different, but defensive backs have notably been getting some traction on their list of reported meetings. This includes Arizona State defensive back Myles "Ghost" Rowser, who worked on some drills with Saints coaches recently at his pro day.
Rowser is a potentially intriguing addition to any defensive back room around the league, notably because of his versatility at multiple positions. In his collegiate career, he had 1,237 reps in the box, 858 as a free safety, 535 as a slot corner, and 19 as an outside corner. 2025 was a very hit-or-miss year for him in coverage, as he allowed 28 receptions on 35 targets (80.0% completion rate) for 276 yards and 2 touchdowns, while also having 6 penalties to his name.
His ability to make plays in space is impressive, though, posting 70 tackles, 4 pressures, 35 defensive stops, and 2 pass breakups. He will be a name to watch throughout the latter rounds of the draft, as a potential development option either as a box safety or as a slot corner, depending on which team takes him.
