Grab your calendars -- the NFL finalized its preseason schedule for the New Orleans Saints, who will compete in three exhibition games later this summer. All three matchups will be broadcast locally on FOX 8 and Gray TV affiliates throughout the Gulf South. But just one of those will be a home game. Here's the list:

  • Saturday, Aug. 15 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, at 3 p.m. CT (Caesars Superdome)
  • Saturday, Aug. 22 at Los Angeles Rams, at 3 p.m. CT (SoFi Stadium)
  • Friday, Aug. 28 at Dallas Cowboys, at 7 p.m. CT (AT&T Stadium)

It's been reported that the Saints hope to fit in joint practices with a couple of those teams before their preseason games for added exposure to another NFL roster. Both the Rams and Cowboys hold training camp in sunny Southern California, where the Saints have spent some time themselves at UC-Irvine's campus, but working out those logistics could be a challenge. They shared the practice field with the Rams for a single afternoon last year and the Cowboys may have already pulled up stakes and returned to their Dallas headquarters by the time the third and final week of the preseason gets here. Either way, fans typically haven't been allowed to observe joint practices hosted by the Saints in recent years. Stay tuned.
