RFK Racing has a situation on its hands for the 2027 NASCAR season. The NASCAR organization is leasing a charter that will go to Legacy Motor Club in 2027, which means it will have only two seats for three drivers. So, what is the status for Ryan Preece heading into the 2027 Cup Series campaign?
Preece running in an open entry for RFK Racing during the 2027 Cup Series season is a possibility, as reported by FOX Sports' Bob Pockrass. RFK Racing has strong sponsorship from Kroger and its vendors, making this a possibility. As of now, Preece, Brad Keselowski, and Chris Buescher are RFK Racing's drivers.
The driver of the No. 60 car currently sits in the Chase, with Buescher in seventh and Keselowski in 11th place. Preece hasn't won a Cup Series points race, but it could be coming soon during the 2026 NASCR season. For now, PReece's status for 2027 is unclear, but he could end up in an open entry, if necessary.
