If we can somehow get a 1st for Dunn then we should. We could use more a PF/C than him. I'm high on Fleming but don't see him as a small ball 5 for a while so bringing in someone to fit that role more would be for the best. I'm not sold on Dunn and would rather take a shot at someone from this draft, which is pretty deep.

Small ball 5 is Oso. That's pretty apparent I thought.

The question is how likely is getting a prospect like Dunn in the mid-late 1st round. Not really, I would say and I like this draft class.

this whole ryan dunn is ryan dumb take is dumb as hell to me - im not even going to get into how dumb it is - just looking forward to see if he improves this year - i suspect he will - also the time to trade him would have been last off-season - not right after he's just had an off season - but anyways

With our roster, Ryan is going to get less time going forward. I do not think he is going to get minutes ahead of Dillon, and Fleming is going to get more and more minutes I hope. So Ryan is sort of the odd man out as far as minutes. He will get starter level minutes when there is an injury, and he will surely be in the rotation. It is not that he is a bad player by any means.

12 or more players typically play in a single game - ryan dunn will get minutes - he'll get even more if he's more consistent this year - that's really all there is to it - dunn - oso - gillespie - goody - that's your bench mob because that's who we need to develop and grow together - it's a good bench too

He will get minutes, but Ryan Dunns appropriate future in the league is as a starter at sf. We already have one of those. He is being wasted backing up Dillon. I just think it makes sense to balance the roster a little better.

If Fleming is touted as a PF and Ryan is SF, how do you figure Ryan won't get minutes backing up Brooks?

I don't quite understand this take. Ryan hasn't proven that he's starter quality yet.

we need more than 1 small forward - and technically dillon is a 3andD shooting guard who plays small forward because we have 87 shooting guards

IDK if anyone put together a montage of the recovery blocks that Fleming had this past season, but no one on the Suns could have made them. The combination of speed and athleticism on them was top 1 percent NBA. I actually think he's better than Dunn on those.
Agree. Overall Fleming is much more impressive than dunn

A lot of buzz that with the Suns taking Peat, Dunn's time in Phoenix is... well, done.

There definitely won't be enough minutes for all of the overlapping guys in the front court, and Dunn really seemed to fall out of favor with Ott last year. So you have to wonder if he will be part of whatever next move the Suns have to make because they have too many guys playing the same spots, and gaping holes at PG and PF.

Dunn is way too tentative and seems trapped in his head a lot. He looked like a good late 1st in his rookie year but last year he looked indecisive and next year is a big question mark.

I'm not sold on Peat but I like his potential more than Dunn at this point. The experiment of sliding Dunn to PF didn't help him or the team so I'd be surprised if he makes it through Summer League as a Sun.

If Ott stays true to form, we won't play Peat this season, so we won't have to worry about giving him minutes.

They might be loading up to trade Dillon. I don't want to but they would be selling high

I think the way Ish spoke of Dillon during the end of the season press conference, he's right behind Booker in least tradable guys. His attitude and work ethic is more important than his on court contributions. If we were trading him, something would have leaked already.

This is my take as well. If Dunn doesn't work out this season, there's a guy developing along side him.

I think Dunn bounces back in year 3. He's gone through so much turnover already from a new gm, new players to new coaching staff. KD not being there as well, as it seemed him and KD were practice buddies.

I get Oso falls into this situation but Oso's role didnt change much from year one to year two as much as it has for Dunn.

This Suns team is built different. One star in Booker, then the rest are just good hard working players.
