If Bud didn't stop playing the rookies they could have come even further with more playing time. Dunn probably missed out on an award too.

Benching Dunn/limiting his minutes was easily the biggest head scratcher of Bud’s short reign of error.

If there was a combination to the lock that was the Suns, Bud didn't have it.

He probably knew his time was limited in Phoenix unless he won. It was a lose, lose situation for him.

i thought dunn was going to start this year - i thought he'd keep shooting 3s religiously - shows what i know

instead he's blossomed/transformed into a dennis rawdunn - tracking the ball - avoiding bigs on the way in preventing easy rebounds for the other guys while giving us more tips than an ex-golf pro

the defensive dominance that our bench has become unexpectedly famous for - that starts with dunn's intensity - from oso to gillespie everybody gets hungry - all trying to get just one hand on the ball then it's off to the races

ryan dunn isn't doing the 3 and D thing most everyone else is on - he's doing everything - and tbh his trademark windmill dunnk percentage is way better than his 3 percentage and it lifts the team

we have 3 point shooters coming out of our ears but we need defense when the starters aren't out there - he and oso do need to get better at attacking the rim in half court sets tho - but we are seeing some pick and roll lob action as of late

I'm guessing here, but I bet his #'s and % are better when he starts. Was just such a mind job last season by coach Dud. His number are slightly up all around though. Maybe some lack of consistency to this season for him especially being out for a bit.

Ott is using him perfectly. When he's playing well, he stays on the floor but if he's not producing then his minutes are kept down. Ott's rotations are fantastic.

Is anyone concerned about Dunn? Sometimes I don't even realize he's on the court. Even on D he seems to just get blown by more often than not.

He's a late 1st round pick playing like a mid 1st round pick. I'm not concerned. He's come back down to earth some and needs to be more aggressive on offense if he wants to take the next step.

ryan dunn is almost 2 full seasons in - last night he played a total of 10 minutes - only shot the ball once but he sunk his 3

he was a top 10 rookie under vogel - now it pains me to say but it's safe to say he's the only youngin not thriving under ott

last year dunn was called upon and answered - he looked good - looked special but this year we've seen the nerves we thought we'd see in his rookie year

sophomore slump - new system - idfk - ott still appreciates dunn's defense - dunn has started games under ott - he gets burned from time to time but he helps his teammates more

you never know what the future holds - just look at oso - and maybe not having it easy is a good thing for ryan dunn in the long run - he's not going anywhere and will have a full offseason to re-prepare

I don't really have the inside track, but I thought Dunn and Durant were bros last season? I remember they played a lot of pick up and such, 1v1. I think that was a boost in his confidence and helped elevate his offensive game since he was thought to not have any at all. Right now our guys are scoring by 3's, dribbling and using screens for space, and shooting off the dribble, all things Dunn is not good/elite at.

For now Dunn has become a poor mans Fleming, imo Dunn needs to work on his handles. He is somewhat of a tweener given his skillset, or lack of.

Sophomore slumps are real. I am hoping that's all this is for Dunn. He was looking like a massive steal in the draft last year. His confidence just doesn't seem to be there. At times he looks completely lost out there and his finishing at times is a real problem. It's just been an inconsistent mess for him.
