Peterson got his information from somewhere. If it's not true then there is a sabatuer within the Cardinals organization. Peterson took the sabatuer at face value and got upset.
If it is true, then the Cardinals are feeding misinformation to the media for damage control.

Patrick Peterson has 2 year, $23.8M remaining on his contract w/ the #Cardinals, though his guarantees have long since expired. The deal carries $1.27M of dead cap in 2019 which would remain with ARZ per a trade.

Yes. Go back to non guaranteed contracts. You don't see this behavior in the NBA or MLB because of it. If there was ever a league that deserved guaranteed contracts, it is the NFL, considering the punishment they put on their bodies.
